Based in Rochester, NY, SJM III consulting services offers wedding officiant services. Reverend and officiant Stuart has Methodist roots but serves with open arms, joyfully marrying all couples. Their inclusive, personalized ceremonies are thoughtfully designed to make your wedding a memorable and joyful experience. While based in Rochester, they are also open to travel. SJM III consulting services can also provide a pre-wedding consultation and assist with the rehearsal.
Why do I officiate?
In this season of life, I have found deep joy in serving couples as a wedding officiant—not simply as a role, but as a calling shaped by decades of listening, guiding, and honoring life’s most important transitions.
In retirement, this work has become a meaningful way for my wife, Martha, and me to enhance our family income, while continuing to do what has always mattered most to us: making a genuine difference in people’s lives. Each ceremony is an opportunity to offer couples something both rare and enduring calm, grounded presence and carefully chosen words that reflect who they truly are.
I approach every wedding with care and intention. I take time to know each couple’s story, their values, and the tone they want for their day—whether spiritual or secular, formal or relaxed, intimate or celebratory.
Together, we shape a ceremony that feels authentic, inclusive, and deeply personal.
What I bring is not performance, but presence.
Not formula, but thoughtful preparation.
Not borrowed words, but language shaped with care.
My goal is simple: to help couples feel fully seen, fully supported, and fully present as they step into their life together surrounded by the people who love them most.
